LAST WEEK We had a great time at the Hoppers game on Thursday! Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday to help begin construction on the outdoor chapel at New Garden Park. Canain Stanley will host a few more work days for this project that he is working on for his Eagle Scout Project. We hope to move to New Garden Park as a church sometime in July!
SUMMER CALENDAR
The summer calendar is now LIVE! We'll hand out the hard copies this Sunday morning. You can also find a digital copy here and view it in your Google Calendar! If you click on the events you'll be able to see more details about the events.
Our theme for the summer is "Hearing God." We're going to focus on that concept during all of our summer events. How do we tune out the noise of the world and pay attention to the true voice of God? Last summer our theme was "Fix our Eyes." This summer we're going to focus on "listening" as opposed to looking.
DRIVE & THE Q
This summer in DRIVE we're taking a break from our normal focus on theology and catechesis and looking at The Good and Beautiful God, focusing on the truth about God vs the lies we've believed. In The Q we'll continue with the Gospel Project and the story of the Bible.

6.4- DRIVE & THE Q, No Sunday Evening Event
6.4- Rising 6th Graders Youth & Parents Meeting
Immediately following the church service on Sunday, June 4th the rising 6th graders and parents will meet with Drew, Lindsey and Justin from 11:40-12:10 for a brief snapshot overview of the youth ministry and summer activities.
6.11- Sunday - "RYM Summer Kickoff Event: COLOR WARS." At Grove Church on Jessup Grove Rd. across from Proehlific Park. 5-7:30pm. $5, includes dinner.
6.14- Wednesday Morning Prayer Begins (10-11:30)
Each Wednesday morning this summer middle and high schoolers will gather at New Garden Park for a time of prayer and studying scripture. We typically will follow this time with lunch and a fun youth activity. See the summer calendar.
6.14-6.16- High School Camping Trips
We're excited to start a new RYM tradition this summer with 2 different camping trips for the high school guys and gals (rising 9th-graduated seniors), both June 14-16, Wednesday morning-Friday night. We'll leave after Morning Prayer on June 14th. The cost is only $45! Sign up with the links below.
The Man Trip
The guys will be heading to Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, NC. We'll be jumping off cliffs, riding down waterfalls, climbing mountains, eating like kings, growing chest hair, and using the bathroom in the woods. A great time to get away from screens and hear from the Lord.
The Wo-Man Trip aka "The Glamping Trip"
The ladies, led by Melissa Lewkowicz and Eloise Porter, will be staying indoors in the Montreat area and experiencing a mixture of both glamour and camping, aka "glamping."
