RYM Summer 2017 Event Details

Color War Powder Making Party (Wednesday, 6/7/17, 2PM-6PM)

Our big prep day for our Summer Kickoff Event! We need everyone that is able to come out to the Miller's (803 Bass Landing Place, Greensboro, NC 27455) and bring as many friends as you can! We'll be making the color powder for the event. Wear clothes that could get dirty.

RYM Summer Kickoff Event - Sunday
Color War (6/11/17, 5PM-8PM)

Our kickoff for our summer schedule! Come join us for a color war. Since we don't have a field, we're borrowing the field behind Grove Church on Jessup Grove Road (4530 Jessup Grove Road, Greensboro, NC 27410). Bring $5 for food and make sure to wear clothes that can get stained and wet! We will have some wet activities so make sure to wear dark clothes, or a bathing suit under your clothes. The main point of this event is for your kids to bring their friends!

Wednesday Morning Prayer (Most Wednesday's, 10AM-11:30AM)

Our hope is that by getting together and starting our summer mornings with prayer and the reading of scripture it will lead our students to do the same thing in their own daily life. We know that some students will be working and some will be sleeping and that there's no perfect time, but we'll be meeting from 10AM-11:30AM just about every Wednesday. After Morning Prayer we will do a different activity as a group. Look on the online or hard copy version of the calendar to see more details about each individual Morning Prayer and activity to follow. Bring a Bible to each week! At first, WMP will be held at the Hills house and when New Garden Park is ready, we will begin meeting there, likely at the end of June. (5572 Garden Village Way, Greensboro, NC 27410)

Camping Trips (6/14/17-6/16/17)

We're excited to start a new RYM tradition this summer with two different camping trips for the high school guys and gals (rising 9th-graduated seniors). We'll leave after Wednesday Morning Prayer on the 14th. The guys will be heading to Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, NC. We'll be jumping off cliffs, riding down waterfalls, climbing mountains, eating like kings, growing chest hair, and using the bathroom in the woods. A great time to get away from screens and hear from the Lord. The ladies, led by Melissa Lewkowicz and Lindsey Horton, will be staying indoors in the Montreat area and experiencing a mixture of both glamour and camping, aka "glamping".

Guitar Lessons with Leia Renslow

Come to Drew's house (1210 Alderman Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408) on select Thursdays from 7PM-8PM to learn how to play guitar! Bring $5 for lessons taught by Leia Renslow to help her raise money for YWAM.

Man Nights

A night for the men of RYM. We will be getting together at different places and different times on Sunday nights to do activities together and talk about what the Bible says about being a man of God. Bring a Bible each week. Make sure to check on the online or hard copy version to see the details for each individual week!

Dance & Romance

Come out to New Garden for some dancing and some worship! Bring a Bible, comfortable clothes to dance in, and a friend! Every week we'll be learning a 45 minute dance combination and then talk about romance in the Bible and in our lives.

Camp Booyah

Our third annual Camp Booyah. The most BOOYAH week of the summer! No further words necessary.
