Tomorrow night at 6:30 at Western is our Ash Wednesday service to kick off Lent. Here is a guide I sent to the small group leaders that you could also read over to help you discuss the season with your children.
Saturday, March 4 || Work Day
This Saturday we're having a work day (9-12) at our New Garden property. Sign up here so we know numbers for lunch (12-1). What a great opportunity for your family to serve together.
Sunday, March 5 || THE Q/ DRIVE, SNL
This Sunday night at SNL we kick off our Lenten series called "The Stories Our Bodies Tell." We will be exploring the "Theology of the Body" and discussing hot topics like gender identity and the definition of marriage. I am still finalizing the outline of our series and will send you more details later in the week. Feel free to call me if you'd like to discuss more. My plan is to kick off this Sunday night with a general overview focusing on how our bodily desires reveal the cry of our hearts for God. We'll keep middle and high schoolers together this Sunday night, but we will split them up for the talks that dive deeper into sensitive issues. You as parents are also invited to come and sit in and listen on Sunday nights. Don't feel obligated to come, I am going to give you detailed notes of what we discuss, but want you to know you're invited if you'd like to be there! If you plan on coming, check in with your kids first!

WAY YOU CAN HELP
YOUTH SUMMER INTERN HOUSING NEEDED
Our youth summer interns will be here May 20-Aug 12. We've interviewed a few great candidates already and plan to hire both a male and female college student this week! We will need housing for each of them. If you have a guest room in your home and you're considering the possibility of hosting a summer intern, let me know and we can talk more details.
