- What is the purpose of
dating?

marriage?

CAMP BOOYAH: July
10-14
Camp Booyah is already filling up as we have 8 churches coming this year. Don't forget to save your
spot by
turning in a deposit check for $150 written to 'Church of the Redeemer' with
'Camp Booyah and your camper's name in the memo.' You can put these checks in
the offering plate, which is a safer way of them not getting lost if you hand
them to me. Also, let me know if you're interested in coming with us as an
adult leader. More details at CampBooyah.com.
Drew's Parenting Thought for the Week
Your teenagers don't want your advice, so much as they want to hear your story. This week I went to my great aunt's funeral and learned more about her in that hour than I did in 38 years of being her great nephew. It made me sad that I didn't ask better questions in my time spent with her while she was alive. Too often kids don't know what questions to ask. It's okay for you to just tell them the stories- even when they don't ask. What if you scheduled a milkshake date for one night next week where you took out your son or daughter and told them your story- how you met your spouse, how you met Jesus, when you messed up and how the Lord has redeemed it. I bet it would be a milkshake memory that wouldn't soon forget.
