DRIVE

On Sunday mornings in DRIVE, our high schoolers continue to discuss the practical importance of the Trinity.  Loving God, we learned, is learning to know God, and the single most important place to begin knowing Him is what He says about Himself: that He is three-in-one, or Triune. Far from a dusty formulation or just something we’re just supposed to believe, we are learning that all the important things we say about God—that He is Love, that He saves us, that He wants a personal relationship with us--is first captured in the eternal love between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

One of the ways we’re trying to understand this is by looking at classic and modern paintings of the Trinity.  For example, ask your kid what’s going on in this famous painting by the Russian Christian Rublev.  I bet you’ll get some cool answers….

Also, remember that your students get a thousand points each for bringing a bible and a journal, and two thousand for bringing a new friend! 10,000 points gets you a blind grab into the Chick-fil-a awards bag!  Three students have already earned a grab…encourage yours to join in as well!)

We love your kids!

BOOYAH at the BARN- Oct. 23rd, 4:30-7pm
Instead of SNL on Oct. 23rd, we're gathering with the other churches from Camp Booyah for a hoe-down at the Walt's farm in Summerfield. Yee-haw!

Camp Booyah

We're heading back to Cedar Grove for round 3 of Camp Booyah, July 9-13, 2017! Upperclassmen (rising 11th/12th graders) come up a day early on July 8. Sign ups begin December 1!
