Costume Party/Purity Talk- this coming Sunday
This coming Sunday night we're having a costume party at SNL. Kids don't have to wear a costume if they don't want to, but it's strongly encouraged! Same time as usual 6-8pm.
Also, we're going through the Beatitudes on Sunday nights and this week I'm speaking on Matthew 5:8- "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." I will be addressing the topics of sex and pornography. I realize that speaking to an audience of 6th-12th graders on this subject is a wide spectrum. My hope is to speak in a way that is appropriate for both middle and highschoolers. I also do not want to shame of anyone for past mistakes, but to also speak truthfully about God's sacred plan for sex within marriage. I just wanted to give you a heads up as parents since this is a touchy topic.
