THE GAME PLAN:
Sunday Mornings
Our Sunday morning catechism classes meet the 1st, 3rd, & 5th Sundays of the month for 4 intentional reasons:
- We want to “leave kids wanting more” and have found that both students and leaders are more likely to be invested when they don’t feel as spread thin or burned out.
- We value family time and have found this rhythm to be life-giving for families who are regularly able to worship together in the main service.
- As followers of Christ, we are called to serve and have found this rhythm to enable our youth to serve in different ministries throughout our church during the 2nd & 4th Sundays.
- We hope to develop life-long worshippers and want kids to begin to learn how to participate in the full worship service in addition to having age-appropriate classes.
The classes meet from 10:20-11:05 to allow students to worship in song at the beginning of the service and take communion at the end of each service.
THE Q || Sunday Morning Catechism || 6th-8th graders
We call it ‘The Q’ because we want this time to help answer many of the Questions middle-schoolers have.
Teachers: Doug West, Faith Howell, Melissa Lewkowicz, Glenn Wise, Drew Hill
DRIVE || Sunday Morning Catechism || 9th-12th graders
We call it ‘Drive,’ not just because high school is a time when teenagers learn to drive a vehicle, but also because a drive is: a journey; an organized effort by a group of people to achieve a particular purpose; determination, ambition, an urge to act a certain way; and a move in a specific direction. We want to help high schoolers navigate the transition between being a kid and being an adult. We want to help them understand their ‘urges’ and the call that God has placed on each of their lives. We hope to lead them in the specific direction of following Jesus.
Teachers: Nathan Hedman, Graham Monroe, Jimmy Sackel, Evy Warring, Greta Stanley, Drew Hill
