Talking to Your Teenagers About the Transgender Debate

Here's a helpful article I read from a counselor in Durham that I greatly respect: Talking to My Boys by Brad Hambrick.  I'm still processing the best way for us to engage this topic, but my kneejerk is that the most important place for your teenagers to be discussing this is at your home with you. I'd be glad to chat if any of you have questions, but I'm in agreement with Brad that our priorities when talking to our kids about this touchy topic should be as follows:

1. Pray for Godly wisdom.
2. Listen more than we speak.
3. Be Biblically informed and personally compassionate.
4. Honor those people with whom we disagree.
5. Understand the situation is more complicated than we realize.
