WAHO @ Spring Arbor & Summer Camp Dates

WAHO TOMORROW
Tomorrow we have WAHO at Spring Arbor. I'll pick kids up from Newcomers at 3, Caldwell at 3:20, and NWMS at 4.  We'll head to Spring Arbor and arrive there around 4:30.  Parents are welcomed to join us. We'll visit with residents for an hour and parents can pick up at Spring Arbor at 5:45pm.  If you need me to give your child a ride home, let me know.

I think some of the families who don't have Community Group might go out to eat together afterwards, but this won't be an official youth dinner time, just if families want to go eat together at Casa Vallarta by Spring Arbor. We've done this a few times in the past but it's usually dependent upon how much homework kids have.

SUNDAY
We have 180 this coming Sunday. If you as a parent would ever like to sit in on 180 or help teach, please let me know. The plan is to divide the middle and high schoolers into two separate Sunday morning discipleship times starting in the fall since we currently have over 30 kids.

SUMMER MISSION CAMP: July 12-16 (Sun-Thurs)
Thanks to all who filled out the Google form for camp dates. It looks like the July 12th week was the most popular so I'm 95% sure we're landing on that date. Still figuring out some details but will know for sure next week.

At this point there are a few good options, but I'm leaning towards putting on our own Anglican Adventures Summer Mission Camp. I would invite the youth from our sister churches in NC to come as well. Most of the churches are smaller, yet growing, church plants who aren't large enough to do their own summer camps, but would love to combine their youth groups for a week in the summer. I would love to develop a Mission Camp that these 6-10 Anglican churches could bring youth to every summer, developing a tradition and seeing the same friends every year.

I've been talking with Camp Cedar Grove in Concord, NC and it looks like it's going to be a great fit for us. They have: paintball, rock climbing, high ropes course, soccer, basketball, canoeing, water slide, etc... In the mornings we will do Mission Projects around the city, similar to CCC, but in the afternoons we will be able to have the summer camp experience. CCC was going to be $425/student but it looks like we can do Cedar Grove for around $289/camper.

Again, this is not final, so I would love to hear your feedback, but it really feels like something the Lord is orchestrating. You can check out Cedar Grove here. I'll let you know in the next 2 weeks the final details.

Here's a great blog post for parents:
