The Compassion Experience and more...

Redeemer Youth Parents,

We had a great time at Spring Arbor and the Jackson's house yesterday. After talking with a few of you last night I wanted to clarify a few confusing details about all that's going on with the youth.

Compassion Experience (Dec 5-8)
First of all, starting tomorrow, The Compassion Experience will be at Wesleyan Academy in High Point.  The Compassion Experience is a fantastic opportunity for you and your kids to understand more about poverty and the difference being made in the lives of the kids (Dan & Ruth) we as a youth group sponsor through Compassion. You have to reserve your spot before you go and can do that here

Here's a video about The Compassion Experience

Children & Youth Led Worship This Sunday, Dec 7th
In celebration of Advent all of our kids will help in leading the service this Sunday. Please ARRIVE BY 9:45am.  The kids (preschool-12th grade) will be sitting together in the front for the entire service. Youth will be ushering, welcoming, doing the readings, leading in music, and singing this song during announcements to promote Operation Christmas Child. You can play it for them to help them learn it.

Christmas Party: Dec 17
We'll be back at the Jackson's home in 2 weeks for the Youth Christmas Party 5:30-7:30pm on Dec 17th. Families are invited to that party. Please bring 4 things:
  1. Your family (ages 0-102 invited)
  2. Festive attire (prize for best Christmas outfit)
  3. Food to share (it's potluck)
  4. White Elephant gift ($5-10, funny or nice, you'll get to pick one gift for every gift you bring, so you can bring 1 for your teenager or 5 for everyone in your family.)

December 20 Saturday- Operation Christmas Child

We have 25 spots for youth and their families to head to Charlotte to fill shoeboxes. Please consider filling some shoeboxes with your family to bring along. Make sure you Sign Up Here as spots are limited. Sign up each person who is coming from your family INDIVIDUALLY.
